This is for those of you that like to use Ray Taulbot's Pace Calculator i just made it easy to work with all you do is add the Final time with 1/2 for sprints and for routes add the 3/4 time to get the final rating just minus the Final beaten lengths from the total .. The downloads are 100% safe

There's ways of using the speed chart to your advantage you don't have to rate the horse by minus the BL you could just rate the race to find out how strong it was also you can do track profiles by tracking each day and see who come out of good races

Here is some OUT OF THE BOX thinking but this takes some work on your part
okay if you are useing the speed charts but want better #'s this is how you can tell if the field of horses and race really rates am going to take MNR Races-7 & 8
R7>453-457-910 -18.25> 891.75
R8>453-449-903 -26.25>876.75
You will have to use Equibase Results chart PDF the reason is we are after the total BL from 1st to last and on the results you can see that where it says

I know most handicappers and most people don't like to do any kind of work they think they're just going to pick up the racing form and that's it that's on them me I like to use speed figures or speed ratings but my biggest problem is I got to see them on a graph that's the only way and true way of seeing a horse's form but since I've created this above this post it has helped my game just keep a notebook write down the days races it does not take that long and in the long run it will help you with your speed figures now you can truly see if that 89 or 90 figure was good and the field that he ran against
